Michele has always loved art, she is good at math and although she wanted to go to the Ontario College of Art she, under the advice of her family, took Commerce at University and found herself in Accounting for 20 years! She enjoyed the work but says she did NOT fit the “mold”

Then one day the universe handed her a gift...the “invitation" to no longer work at her corporate job. She sat with the uncertainty for a hot minute and then made the decision to finally follow her creative energy down the unknown path to entrepreneurship.

Michele quickly committed herself fully to her creative side and although she enjoyed and found value in her accounting work, she knew for the first time that this is where she was supposed to be!

Michele’s story is unique and so common among women. And in this interview we took a hard look at where along the line we were led to believe that our creativity is a hindrance, instead of a valuable asset.

Now it is clear, all over the world, that our capacity to tap into our creative energy enhances our ability to be effective in so many areas beyond “art". The question is ... when will women everywhere accept it and when will the corporate world (driven by patriarchal ideals) follow suit?

Michele’s willingness to share her story is helping to give a voice to creatives everywhere. Imagine what the world will be like when creative energy and personal flare is sought after in the corporate space…when a person’s success is determined by how aligned they are to what lights them up…not an outdated idea of how money is made!
